Alex offers a range of ceramic art courses and workshops, hosted in her studio in the McLaren Vale region on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula less than an hour from Adelaide. With a focus on hand built pottery and ceramic sculpture, Alex’s classes truly are an authentic and unique experience, allowing you to leave your daily grind at the door. Envelop yourself in this wonderfully grounding medium and learn the art of pottery and ceramic sculpture in a relaxed, open, intimate setting designed to lower the stress levels and nurture your creative side.
WORKSHOPS These classes are a great way to spend a few hours before heading to the coast, wineries, or one of the amazing dining experiences the region has to offer. With a range of classes to select from, learn some new skills, unleash your creative and make a gorgeous keepsake.
SHORT COURSES Looking to further extend your skills in the studio? Ideal for beginners and intermediate alike, Alex’s courses dive deep into the ancient artform of ceramics to develop skills and knowledge in clay types, technical building skills, design and artistic expression, presented in a calm and inclusive setting.

This wild ride called life has led me back, almost full circle, to my calling as an artist. I love to create in multiple mediums, but there’s something that continues to draw me back this diverse, ancient medium…cool and malleable, forgiving and stubborn, strong and fragile, challenging and meditative, all in equal measure. Quite human when you break it down. Clay is my second language, it allows me to express in tangible form that which I struggle to find words for, it helps me breathe life into thought.
